The ruins are still closed. However, I can highly recommend the paths up and down. They are well maintained, wide enough and the nettles don't bother you at all. The south side with the large, moss-covered rocks is very exciting.

Unfortunately, I can not recommend the Neuhewen. The path is partially only 30cm wide and there are on both sides meter high nettles hanging in the way. This is certainly seasonal, but it is for someone with shorts, at least in August (since I was there) not possible to walk relaxed on the Neuhewen without constantly burn. Once at the top you are standing in front of a fence. The ruin is closed because of falling stones. There was no place from where I had a view. Can not recommend the Neuhewen unfortunately.
