This mountain refuge hut is helpfully positioned in remote moorland on the final stage of the Pennine Way. It might be basic, but it's a good place to stop overnight if the weather closes in.

The Yearning Saddle mountain refuge hut is a small wooden shelter where four trails meet in the heart of the Cheviot Hills, just a stone's throw from the Scottish border. It's a real blessing if you get caught up here in foul weather, but I wouldn't advocate planning to overnight here unless you really needed to, as there are no facilities and it's pretty small.
