Here you walk in the beautiful wilderness of the Hardangervidda plateau that is home to several major geographical features. The highest point is Sandfloegga (1,721 m), but the cone-shaped Hårteigen (1,690 m) is the most recognizable mountain landmark. In the north, the Hardangerjøkulen glacier dominates the view. The plateau is filled with water, featuring large regulated lakes like Møsvatn and Kalhovdfjorden, which is held by the dam you asked about.
