The ancient village of Klementyevo is located in the vastness of the Suzdal Opolye. In ancient times, it was the patrimony of the Moscow Novodevichy Convent, to which Prince Mikhail Kubensky donated.
As for the church itself, the wooden church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was first mentioned here in 1628. The currently functioning, preserved brick church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord with the chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1796 to replace the dilapidated wooden one. The refectory with the bell tower were built in 1882.
