Five hundred years ago, Füssen's rope makers dried their ropes here, which they made for halters and rafting. The Rope Makers' Tower, one of presumably 14 towers of the former city wall, is still well preserved today and tells the story of this craftsmanship and Füssen's prosperous past. The archway at the Rope Makers' Tower was once an important gateway to the town and today leads into the picturesque old town of Füssen. Explore the historic old town and start the listening tour here – an exciting journey through the history of this unique town.
