Sandstone is a naturally occurring building material that doesn't require energy-intensive production processes, is durable, and recyclable. It's not only a highly ecologically sustainable choice, but when mined locally, it also offers positive working conditions. Sandstone has been mined in the Baumberge region for 1,000 years – you can delve deeper into the history and culture surrounding the "Marble of Münsterland" at this listed, former farm.
