Very inconspicuously located on the southern side of the path, and only easily found by the sign next to it, is a stone bearing a coat of arms associated with the Iburg Monastery. An altar dedicated to St. Clement was consecrated there in 1070. As a symbol of the abbot's dignity, it bears a crosier (actually a bishop's symbol) crossed by an anchor, the so-called Clement's anchor. St. Clement, the third successor of St. Peter, was an early Christian martyr.

At first, you just think, "What's that little boulder doing here?" But the sign next to it gives a detailed description.

I'm not entirely sure whether such an old stone with a coat of arms should simply stand in the forest. It would be perfectly appropriate in a castle, too.
