From the road you can go to a small vantage point with an information board and look at the floating bog. A different perspective. You can park right across the street. So we were able to take a little look at the floating moor even with a dog.

+The remaining raised bog in front of the North Sea coastal dike near Sehestedt is unique in the world. Only when extreme storm or hurricane floods in Sehestedt reach more than 1.70m above the mean high tide does the more than 3-meter-thick "moor island" begin to float, hence the term "floating moor" (source: Jade-Touristik.de).
