The section of the road is marked as closed and when you get back to the D8 you have to lift your bikes over a guard rail (see photo) or take a very (!) narrow path next to the guard rail to the next ramp (approx. 500m). The path next to the rail is quite steep and deep down the cliff. But this way you avoid a dangerous section of the D8

We rode this yesterday with to loaded travel bikes. Thank you for the tip. We were both able to go along the narrow path with panniers attached, which is much safer as there’s no shoulder on the road and it’s very busy with traffic between the city and the airport (many buses).
