    The Swan Bastion is a Gothic bastion in Gdańsk. It was built on the foundations of the demolished Fisherman's Bastion. The bastion was damaged in 1454 and subsequently rebuilt and raised by one story.

    The Dominican Order's castle originally stood on the edge of the fish market. After the Prussian Confederation challenged the protection of the Polish king in 1454, the castle was captured and razed by the citizens of Gdańsk.

    To protect the square, the brick Swan Tower was built, which still stands there today along with remnants of the medieval city fortifications.
