Yürüyüş

The chapel is privately owned but is open to everyone. It stands in the middle of a beautifully manicured property and is shaded by old trees. Some benches invite you to take a peaceful break. Nice saying: May the whole world be crazy, here in this place there is peace.

Nordic walking

Here, a dirt road branches off to the south from the Way of St. James from Aachen to Maatricht. After about 100 meters you will see the Marienkapelle on the left - a farm on the right. Access to and visits to the chapel are permitted (observe signs for private property).

On September 8, 1963, this votive church was officially consecrated to the Virgin Mary - a large crowd of pilgrims had gathered there for this purpose - over 1,000 are said to have been there.
