The Kastenalm is open from the end of May to mid-September in 2025. Opening and closing days may vary depending on the weather. If you're unsure but would like to stop by the hut, you'll need to check online, as the tenants have changed in the meantime.
This quaint, old hut isn't connected to the electricity grid. A small, private power plant supplies the hut with a very small amount of electricity, but it's not suitable for cooking. However, cold snacks with bacon, smoked sausages, cheese, and drinks are available. Homemade cakes are available in the afternoon.
