The Nordermarkt is the medieval center of Flensburg and the oldest market square in the city. It was built in the middle of the 12th century under the Danish King Waldemar I, when a new settlement was built here. In the middle of the square stands the Neptune fountain from 1785.

In this rustic and partly Mediterranean atmosphere you have, among other things, the opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a good cup of coffee. A theater, which is also located on the Nordermarkt, is another option for culture enthusiasts. Also worth mentioning is the view of the Flensburg harbor. Especially on warm summer evenings, the Nordermarkt is bustling with activity until late into the night.
