The Sylt cyclist passes the Rantum harbor when heading towards Hornung. The nature-loving Sylt cyclist enjoys the short stopover and continues along the Rantum basin - there he can observe cormorants, seagulls and other birds.

The port of Rantum is a pure sport boat harbor and can only be navigated for a few hours around the highest tide. At low tide the boats are on the mudflats. Then mudflat hikes start nearby.
