The Natura Trail is a 6.9 km long circular trail starting at Hofgut Guntershausen. The trail is marked "stag beetle". A total of 16 panels provide information about the local nature. In addition, a brochure is available at the environmental education center that specifically describes Natura 2000 topics on this trail. This Natura Trail was created as part of a project by the Friends of Nature Hessen, funded by the Hessian Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. Natura Trails bring biodiversity to life and encourage a conscious approach to nature. They highlight the connections between nature and culture in the region.

By combining nature- and environmentally friendly leisure activities with the imparting of valuable information about the importance of biodiversity, the Natura Trail project contributes to the Hessian Biodiversity Strategy
