The Zacatín Bridge is a historic structure in Colmenar de Oreja, located below the Plaza Mayor. This bridge, also known as the Arch of Zacatín, was built in the 17th century during the reign of Philip IV. Its purpose was to overcome the natural barrier that divided the Arab quarter from the Christian quarter.
The bridge supports the Plaza Mayor and allows the passage of the torrent that runs through the town, connecting different parts of the town. It is a remarkable work of engineering that reflects the history and architecture of the time.

The Ojo de la Fuente or Zacatín Bridge is an ingenious underground structure beneath the Plaza Mayor to relieve the water that runs down the ravine that separated the Arab and Christian quarters. The tunnel is 70 metres long and took 118 years to build. The works were completed in 1794.
