Held up by three metal posts, this gigantic 42-metre diameter net moves with the wind, imitating the movement of anemones. It is a sculpture in constant change, which is why it was named She Moves. But we affectionately call it anemone.

Unfortunately, our anemone has been experiencing some difficulties. In 2007, the structure began to deteriorate rapidly due to the weather conditions. The Matosinhos City Council and Janet Echelman reached an agreement regarding the restoration of the sculpture, with the artist agreeing to pay for the replacement of the net, since it had a 5-year warranty.

Now that's a net! The Rotunda da Anemona was designed by the artist Janet Echelman. The net consists of three steel masts, a steel ring weighing approximately 20 tons, and a net of various mesh densities and colors. At night, the net is illuminated, providing beautiful opportunities for night photography.
