The illumination of the Registan is amazing. The square is full of people watching the color changes to the music.

The Registan in Samarkand is one of the most magnificent squares in Central Asia and the heart of ancient Samarkand.

This illumination and show is amazing. The colors change too. The audience really liked the show. The place was full. It only lasted 30 minutes, then there was only white light. Highly recommended!

The laser show lasts about 20 minutes and starts at 9 p.m. According to the guide, it takes place every day except Monday. The show was created by German artists and presents an overview of Uzbekistan's history. Of course, Registan Square is also a must-see during the day. Because of the high temperatures (around 35°C now in May, often over 40°C in summer from midday), early morning is best.
