To the north lies Lake Garrensee, and to the south lies the Schwarze Kuhle. A peaceful circular path leads around the clear waters.

A picturesque hillside viewpoint and rest area with a table and bench and fantastic views of Lake Plötscher.
Lake Plötscher covers approximately 8 hectares and is up to 12.2 meters deep. To the north lies Lake Garrensee, and to the south it is connected to the Black Hollow. A beautiful hiking trail leads around the lake.
