A sculpture park was created in Pulsnitz after the first Ernst Rietschel Art Prize for sculpture was awarded in 1991. The building ensemble of the castle clinic reflects the architecture of several centuries. Elements from the Renaissance and Baroque periods can be seen, and the additions from the 1990s fit harmoniously into the overall picture. Old photos show that sculptures were once included in the park design, but - with the exception of the Baroque vase on a pedestal in the central axis of the large meadow - they fell victim to the destructive rage after 1945.
