The Ventura Pier, the oldest pier in California and a designated historic landmark, has been a part of Ventura's story since 1872. Once central to the region's agricultural, construction, and oil industries, it now serves as an iconic spot for fishing, picnics, sunset strolls, and scenic views of the coastline and Channel Islands. Community efforts ensure the pier’s preservation through fundraising and events like Pier Under the Stars, an annual food and wine tasting festival featuring live music and local cuisine.
