A total of 800 to 1,000 residential units are to be built on the northern bank. The construction activity takes place from east to west in several sections. The result is a mix of condominiums, freely financed rental apartments and apartments with rental price maintenance. The new quarter at the harbor is currently the most important urban development in Geesthacht. It follows the project "Geesthacht an den Elbe" which, with the Uferpark, the Hafenbrücke, the Sitzterrassen and the Menzer Werft Platz, has led to a turning of the city to the Elbe.

From here you have a wonderful view of the Geesthacht lock. Benches to enjoy and the opportunity to get very close to the water. Ships that go to the lock pass the audience closer than anywhere else.
