This section of the path is beautiful. But north of the railway bridge it is in very poor condition for a path that is supposed to be part of a European hiking trail. In the last 300m or so (to the north) before the bridge in Frauendorf, the path is barely recognizable. If you don't like that sort of thing, you should walk on the right (eastern) side of the Spree between Neuhausen and Frauendorf.
