The three monks stand on Klosterpladsen in Svendborg. This was the site of the monastery of the Grey Friars, and the sculptures are both a fun and historic feature of the streetscape. The monastery was located exactly where the train station and level crossing are today.

The artist Jens Galschiot created the three life-size bronze monks, which now adorn Klosterpladsen in Svendborg.

At Klosterplads there are three life-sized monk figures that convey the special history of Svendborg. The monks were erected as a tribute to the Grey Brothers and the Franciscan monastery that stood on the square in the Middle Ages. They were created by the artist Jens Galschiøt.
