Swimming is permitted near the dam. While there was very little water when I was there, the entry is always very shallow. It's also suitable for children. The water is very soft and boggy, making it very dark, and you can only see a few centimeters into the water. This gives the impression that the drop-in is steep. It's very shallow.

We visited on a sunny and snowy winter day in January. Even (or perhaps especially) with everything covered in a thick blanket of snow, it was an absolutely beautiful scene. The Oderteich pond was easily accessible via the large parking lot located across the road. The paths around the Oderteich were quite narrow on this winter day, which made things a bit tight at times with two dogs, especially when encountering oncoming traffic. But somehow, we always managed to make it work. :)

A beautiful area to unwind by the beautiful Oderteich. However, if you like it quieter, you shouldn't settle here... Lots of people out and about.
