The Scharfrichterhaus (Executioner's House) in Angermünde is a historic building protected as a monument. It is two-story and was built in 1624 for the then executioner, Hans List. It is thus the oldest residential building in Angermünde.

On December 10, 1854, the church, built in the neo-Gothic style, was consecrated to the Evangelical Lutheran community. The construction costs of the single-nave hall amounted to 2,700 thalers and the city made the building site of the former council brickworks available. In 1856 the square, then called Scharfrichterberg because of the nearby property, was given the name Martinsplatz
