This chapel was built in 1884 by the Borremans sisters at the request of their brother Canon Lodewijk Borremans, professor in Mechelen at the Major Seminary. The sisters sold all their goods in 1905. The money for the chapel went to the Brothers of the Christian Schools who built the Brothers' School on the Beguinage. The school disappeared when the Sint-Tarcisius College was founded, which also came into possession of the chapel. The last renovation was done in 2015 by the hamlet of Ossenwegstraat.
