This statue dates from the 18th century and is located on the Nepomucenus Bridge in Wollestraat. It is a design by Pieter Pepers from 1767. Note the crucifix and the devotional lanterns. In 1795 it was thrown into line by the Jacobins and placed back on its pedestal in 1811. On the left we see the tower of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk. John Nepomucenus is a well-known bridge saint, especially in Central Europe.

The statue of Nepomuk stands on the western parapet. It is white and shows Nepomuk standing, dressed in ecclesiastical regalia. In his hands he holds a crucifix, the back of his head is adorned with a halo consisting of five stars. To his right is an open book.
