The Cathedral of Our Lady, also known as the Church of Our Lady (Vår Frue domkirke), stands as a symbol of faith and spiritual centrality in Tromsø.

As the Catholic cathedral of the city and the seat of the prelature sharing its name, it holds a unique distinction as the northernmost cathedral in the world, marking a testament to the diversity of religious expression in the Arctic reaches.

The interior is dominated by white and soft blue. Also look at the ceiling; there you will find three symbols: 1. an anchor with "spes" next to it, Latin for "hope"; 2. the Greek letters "alpha" and "omega", which refer to the omnipotence of God as the beginning and end of everything; 3. the interwoven Greek letters "chi" and "ro", which stand for "Christ", together with a dove, symbol for the Holy Spirit.
I suspect that this represents the trinity "Fides, Spes et Caritas": "Faith (trust), Hope & (neighbor) Love".
