The Walloon-Dutch Church in Hanau was the double church of the Reformed denomination of Neustadt Hanau, founded by Count Philipp Ludwig II of Hanau- Münzenberg for religious refugees from France and the Spanish Netherlands. The exterior work was completed with the first service on October 29, 1608, the interior work continued for several years. After the destruction in World War II, only the smaller, formerly Dutch half of the church was rebuilt.
