The Plague Column was built in 1690 as a thank you for protection from a plague epidemic. At the top there is the statue “Immaculata”, at the corners of the base there are the statues of St. Francis Xavier, St. Joseph, St. Jacob and Sebastian. Near the Plague Column there is a memorial plaque commemorating Vilém Plocek, who set himself on fire not far from here in 1969 to protest against the Soviet occupation.
