Yürüyüş
The towers of the Fortini della Fame (Hunger Fortresses) form a military line of defense. They were created in the mid-19th century and are located in the Magadino plain between Camorino, Sementina and Monte Carasso. The defense line was supposed to protect against attacks by the Habsburg monarchy.

The Hunger forts are so called because they were built at the time when a severe famine had afflicted the Ticino valley, in the 19th century. They had defensive purposes.
