The 'Newe Hoff' was built in 1606 on the site of the village that was mentioned as a 'desolate place' as early as 1194. The three-bay hall building has a rectangular apse in the east and a polygonal bell tower in the north-west corner. A chilled iron bell, cast in Apolda in 1955, hangs in the belfry of the tower.
