Hofgeismar has a lot of vacancies in the old town and some of the houses are falling into disrepair. Nevertheless, there is an atmospheric picture on the market square and the town hall, which does not make Hofgeismar attractive as a separate trip, but very much in the course of a hike. In any case, you can find something beautiful in the pedestrian zone, even if you can really observe the city dying here more than seldom anywhere else.

The town hall has been nicely renovated and the houses are being renovated and maintained one after the other. The forecourt is now completely paved and the town centre is also finished, but there is now civil engineering work going on everywhere to lay fibre optic cables.
