The steep path on the forest slope is a beautiful section of the Teufelssteig between Sendelbachstrasse and the much higher Rehhagweg. A carved devil figure halfway across another path parallel to the slope is supposed to enhance or enrich the path a little.
On the Rehhagweg there is the Rehhaghütte nearby, a nice rest area with a barbecue area.
The Teufelssteig is an 11 km long circular route near Lautenbach past the two 600 m high Schärtenkopfs (Kleiner and Großer) with quite nice rest areas and good views. It opened in May 2020.
