The religious community of Dernbacher Sisters was founded in Dernbach (Westerwald) in the diocese of Limburg by Maria Katharina Kasper, who was canonized on October 14, 2018. The community grew out of a group founded around 1845. She received her religious habit from the Bishop of Limburg in 1851 and he also accepted her vows. The sisters' main areas of activity are nursing, child welfare, education and pastoral services. The motherhouse, Maria Hilf Monastery, is located in Dernbach. This is the seat of the Generalate for the entire community and the Provincial Council for Germany. Source: Wikipedia
