The border between Styria and Salzburg runs over the Gstoder summit. Therefore, the Gstoder is also called the "border guard". On a clear day, at 2,140 m above sea level, you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains from the Niedere Tauern in the north to the Karawanken in the south.
