A bronze Zicke was erected here because the Teltowers affectionately call this place the "Zickenplatz". The reason for this is not known.

The war memorial was inaugurated on October 18, 1913, on the occasion of the centenary of the Battle of Nations, which came to an end near Großbeeren. A narrow memorial stone, which was transported from the Harz Mountains especially for this purpose, and crowned by a Greek helmet, rests on a foundation of boulders laid in a ring from the Mark Brandenburg!
