The 6.5 meter high sculpture, which shows, among other things, a raven and a double-headed snake, was a gift from Canada to the then federal capital. The Kwagiulth Indian Tony Hunt carved his work for four months in front of the garden show visitors. In 2004 the colorful totem threatened to topple over and therefore had to be extensively restored.

Very impressive post made entirely of wood and a gift from distant British Columbia (Canada). Especially when you consider that the whole post, which is definitely 4 meters high, was carved and painted by hand, it is simply impressive!
