The direct climb behind the mill is very steep and has a lot of rubble. It's actually more for climbing than walking. It's better to do the loop. It's a bit further but easy to walk. There's quite a lot of prickly undergrowth. Long trousers are a good idea.

I see it exactly the same way... We were there today and didn't go up from the mill, but continued straight on and then back up in a curve... That was quite a climb... But better than the path straight up...
