The trail leads down to the marshy edge of the pond where you can look out over the sparkling water to Mount Mack. This is an especially stunning spot in the summer and autumn.

At the end of the trail that bears the same name, Round Pond is a beautiful lake with Mount Mack and Mount Klem as a backdrop.

The lake is only accessible by the trail, so it is normally a quiet and peaceful setting, so it is a great place for a break during a run.
