The picturesque setting of Èze has always fascinated artists and writers. For example, Walt Disney lived in Èze for a long time and Friedrich Nietzsche completed the third part of his work “Thus Spoke Zarathustra…” there at the end of the 19th century. An approximately five kilometer long, fairly steep but well signposted path that connects Èze-sur-Mer and Èze Village was named after him.
