About the remains of a Rochow castle from 1178 1546 New construction of a four-wing complex, only the round keep with the octagonal, baroque, Romanesque tower hood changed around 1908. Only the south wing with courtyard side preserved from the castle. Today the seat of the city administration and the lagoon museum

Ueckermünde is always worth a trip. The tour of the historic old town is highly recommended. The small restaurants/bars and cafés invite you to linger. A visit to the museum in the castle courtyard is also informative.

The old ducal palace had its origins in a castle (probably from the 12th century). The palace was built on its remains. It used to have four wings and later served as a meeting place for the Pomeranian state parliament. Duke Philipp built a new palace in 1546; the tower and south wing of this remain. Today it is the town hall and the Haff Museum.
