The Clock Gate separates St. Mark's Square from the rest of the village.
It is the last part of the Palazzo del Provveditore Veneto, which had command functions during the period of Venetian domination of Peschiera.
The clock's chimes are still characterized by the beaks of two figures representing two birds of prey, located near the bell.

The palazzo was the seat of the Venetian governor (Provveditore), whose foundations date back to 1440, where the Venetian patricians once lived and which had command functions during the period of Venetian rule over Peschiera.
It ends on the right side with a large vault above which stands a clock with two representations of birds of prey that mark the passing of the hours with their beaks.
