This is where the new cycle path from Weichensdorf to Jamlitz begins and ends (in the middle of the forest) on the railway line of the former Frankfurt/O railway line. - Cottbus.

This section was originally cleared and prepared as an access road for bicycle traffic by the Spree-Neiße district together with Neuzelle Abbey. This section has now been changed as an access road to Weichensdorf from the Oder-Spree district. The new route is now a little further west as an extension of the village road: komoot.de/highlight/6161804

The section of the old railway line that's been converted into a cycle path seems somewhat grotesquely placed, as there's no connection to the cycle path network in the north. It's a bit like a test track on the moon. Anyone who enjoys a straight line and peace and quiet will have a lot of fun, though. Those with a weight can leave the handlebars at home ;-) Furthermore, the cycle path is very well and uniquely laid out, with kilometer markers in a railway-like design.
