Although the block country is officially managed as a district of Bremen, so understands the 30-acre spot in the middle of the nature reserves "Untere Wümme" and "Kuhgrabensee" rather as a separate village. Not far from the city center, it is home to more cows than humans and is a popular destination for many Bremer. Between beautiful old half-timbered houses, allotments and the drainage ditches of the Wümme it is great to go cycling, skating and walking, especially because the block country may only be used by residents by car.

Blockland is Bremen's green lung. You have a wonderful view over the meadows in the direction of Bremen. You can even see the distant cathedral towers. On the other side, there is a similar width over the river Wümme. The road meanders as well as the Wümme, and the old Baunerhäuser let you translate into another time.
