The Himmelpfforte church is of Romanesque origin. It stands near the entrance to the northwest of the village. The Romanesque church tower carries on a square floor plan a 1994 newly slated roof. At the same time the church tower received a new gilded tower button. The large church tower clock is at the base of the south side of the pitched roof, just above the percussion bell hangs under a small roof. The three church tower bells were cast in 1633 (Wikipedia).
