    The river flows peacefully through a wild rocky landscape and there are many beautiful places to rest and cool off in the river.
    The section above Manzanares el Real is easily accessible by car, so there are always quite a few people out and about enjoying the sun and swimming. Further up it is usually more deserted.
    The hiking trail along the river runs through the foothills of the lush rocky landscape of "La Pedriza" and is highly recommended.
