This is one of the most pleasant streets in Heraklion: 25th Avgoustou Street. begins at the town hall and its Venetian loggia and leads at a reasonable gradient to the fishing port, protected by its ancient fortress. The blue sea marks the horizon from the beginning of the road.
It's pedestrian, airy, lined with clean shops, and runs from one restaurant district to the other: you have the choice between either end!
