The ceilings of the choir bear two inscriptions reminding us that two painted panels were donated by the Counts of Aspremont-Lynden in 1681. The first depicting the "Birth of the Savior", the second panel shows an "Adoration of the Magi".
A red marble container placed in a niche in the sacristy bears the coat of arms of Englebert de Presseux, castellan of Franchimont from 1505 to 1516. The castellan exercised the functions of governor of the margraviate and at that time resided mainly in the fortress .

This imposing Romanesque building from the end of the 10th or beginning of the 11th century is characterized by its massive silhouette and its three-aisled hall, an extremely rare example in our regions. The church is the only one of its kind that still stands between the Loire and the Rhine.
